A complete transformation of an unfinished garage into a beautiful lodge-style living space. This project included framing, custom carpentry, windows and doors, a custom kitchen, wood ceilings, fireplace details and complete interior remodeling.

The Shop before the transformation….
This project started as a large garage and shop with exposed framing, concrete floors, metal siding and open garage bays. The existing structure had plenty of potential, but it needed a complete transformation to become a comfortable finished living space. Rather than simply making cosmetic changes, we completely reworked the interior and exterior to create a unique lodge-style retreat.
The transformation begins
Building the new interior
The transformation began with extensive interior framing and carpentry. New walls, openings and architectural features were constructed throughout the existing structure, creating the foundation for the new living areas. The original open garage was carefully reworked to create a functional interior while preserving the building’s large open feel and rustic character.
Transforming the exterior
The exterior was completely reworked to change the character of the original garage. New window and door openings were framed throughout the front of the building, including large custom-shaped windows that brought natural light deep into the new living space. These openings helped turn the former garage into a welcoming lodge-style retreat.
Custom Woodwork & Interior Construction
As the interior took shape, custom carpentry and woodwork became an important part of the design. The existing structure was transformed with new framing, architectural details and a finished wood ceiling that would give the space its distinctive lodge character. Careful attention was given to the proportions, openings and structural details throughout the building
Custom Kitchen Remodel
The former garage was transformed into a complete living environment, including a custom kitchen designed around the new space. Custom cabinetry, a large range, countertops and a central island were incorporated into the layout. The natural wood finishes work with the wood ceiling and other architectural details to create a warm lodge-style kitchen
Custom Fireplace & Stonework
A custom fireplace became one of the defining features of the finished lodge. The fireplace was carefully framed and built into the new interior, with cement board and custom stonework creating a durable foundation for the finished design. The combination of natural stone, architectural detailing and the surrounding wood finishes helped create the warm, rustic character the homeowners wanted.
Custom Wood Ceiling, Windows & Doors
One of the biggest changes was bringing natural light and finished woodwork into the space. Large custom windows and doors were installed across the front of the building, including the distinctive upper window sections that follow the roofline. The finished wood ceiling continues the lodge-style design throughout the living area, creating a warm, natural interior while connecting the new living space to the surrounding property.

What began as an unfinished garage and workshop was transformed into a completely finished lodge-style living space.
